Christmas gift boxes

Once again, we approach the busiest time of year, which culminates in the happiest day of the year - Christmas Day.  As in other years, many choose a special piece of jewelry for a loved one - including babies and children.  With more to choose from than ever before, we approach the season of giving with the best range of children's jewelry, including children's earrings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, charms and chains and special gifts of baby bracelets and bangles, earrings, necklaces, and anklets.

Looking for a keepsake gift?  Something she will wear now and keep perhaps for the next generation?  Look for classic, or traditional styles that never go out of fashion.  Looking for a fun gift?  Cute and quirky children's screw back earrings or push back earrings would top the list for fun gifts.  We have baby screw back earrings also.  This year, give her something she'll really love!

Happy shopping!

Keepsakes

Oct 9, 2012 8:04:23 AM

It's very likely that a good percentage of the baby bracelets given to babies of today, will become family keepsakes. In fact, any baby jewelry, including religious items is likely to be treasured for a lifetime. Now, there has been a book published about keepsakes. "Keepsakes" demonstrates how elementary teachers can draw on family stories to enliven and enrich the curriculum, giving children a direct connection with the past and an immediate sense of history. I thought this was a great idea! In this age where families are spread widely apart from each other, we are losing that close connection that family units once had. I think those families who live near each other, especially during the years young children are growing up, are very fortunate. To encourage the feeling of belonging, in my granddaughter's class, children are asked to bring into the classroom an item or a photograph of an item which they call their family keepsake and talk about the history of their item, whether it is already the family keepsake, or will become one. This might be the baby bangle they wore themselves as a baby or one which was given to a sibling. They explain how it came to be in their family, who gifted the item and the occasion for which it was given. Many brought in framed photographs of grandparents and great grandparents, some of whom were babies themselves at the time of the photograph. The children loved these sessions are were just as interested in the keepsakes of others, as their own.

Gemstones for babies and little girls

Jul 24, 2011 6:45:59 AM

Modern styles of baby and children's jewelry are extremely popular.  Often these styles are very simple.  A plain baby bangle with a single charm, a plain box chain with a simple pendant.  The use of enamelling for colour and brightness for little people.

But traditional styles still have their place.  I did a survey not long ago and asked which style parents preferred for their baby.  Overwhelmingly they said "traditional."  This surprised me because the modern styles sell more readily.  This showed me that we need more traditional baby bracelets, baby brooches and baby necklaces.

Not long afterwards we purchased a bunch of traditional baby bangles and bracelets which have proven very popular, according to feedback.  But our best feedback comes from a slower selling line, the gemstone bracelets for babies and small children.  These, we found are being purchased for boy babies as often for girls, which surprised me - but I take note.  Bracelets and bangles for boys are now quite popular.  People simply love the baby garnet bracelets, the lapis, the amethyst and the turquoise.

They love that these beautifully made baby jewelry items will become family keepsakes.  Once outgrown, they'll be put away for the next family baby or the next generation.  Which shows me that even in this busy, throwaway society, people crave a bit of tradition, a bit of formality, something to pass on to the next generation.

Portrait Photography

Sep 24, 2010 12:48:45 PM

All parents want professional keepsake photography of their babies and children and the different styles of children's photography are endless.  The cute, the sweet and innocent, the "out there"...there are some great ideas.  Why not complement the style of photograph you have in mind with a piece of jewelry for your baby or children to wear, that will forever be on show in the portrait.  A shiny gold or silver bracelet is the obvious choice, but a gold or silver earring can add a special sparkle to the photo.  Or a colourful ladybug earring or a Pandora-style bracelet in a blue to match the eyes. When a moment is captured forever, it's worth using your imagination to create something unique and special.

Special Jewelry Events

Sep 24, 2010 12:39:15 PM

Special Events create Special Memories.  Baby Showers, Christenings, Naming Ceremonies, Birthdays and even Weddings call for special outfits and of course, special jewelry!  The photos of the day will forever show the choices you made that day to look your best.  Babies and Children are no different.  Each event may call for a different piece of jewelry, the innocent, elegant, the sparkly, the funky!  We at Baby Jewels have an eye for all these different types of jewelry for every occasion: earrings, brooches, pins, bracelets, bangles, anklets, we love it all!

We try to mention in our product descriptions if a piece of jewelry is particularly suitable for an event of some kind, so, for example, a search for "wedding" on the Baby Jewels website should return some suitable items. We hope to add events categories to our store as we expand our range.
